Construction Manager Needed
Home base is Maryland, Will require overseas travel..... Heres the "official" writeup.... All rats can contact me to discuss but the POC is below as I am to be on travel heavily this month. From: "Karen Sindicic" Via email to: ksindicic@natigroup.com Via fax to: 301-220-3885 (if they need it here is my phone number – but we prefer resumes to be sent….)Phone number: 301-220-1818x109 THE JOB WRITEUP: FE/BR Construction Manager Job Description: The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for monitoring and oversight of multiple overseas Forced Entry, Ballistic Resistant (FE/BR) door and window replacement and Physical Security Upgrade (PSU) projects ranging in size from $1M to $5M. Must be able to provide planning, estimation, and schedule and cost control functions. This position will reside at the College Park, MD Headquarters reporting directly to the Program Manager. and will be responsible for the sequencing, logistic support and completion of the construction in accordance with pre-established schedules, cost and quality expectations of DOS OBO and end-users. The CM will also be in daily communication directly with the Project Coordinator to provide and receive information regarding jobsite activities and inspection results. Job Duties: The CM has the following responsibilities: Forecast site personnel, subcontract, and material requirements; Manage resources including training, retention and recruitment programs; Assist and develop all aspects of an organization's network operational policies, objectives, and initiatives; Oversee policies and procedures for operational processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations; Maintain familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures; Work closely with several functional areas in an organization to ensure that the network is meeting the expectations of clients; Provide supervisory and technical oversight to the in-house (CONUS) workforce and the subcontractors/vendors that will be supporting the work; Provide bid and proposal development including detailed analysis and breakdown of scope of work to ensure on-site compliance with task and contract requirements; Coordinate with the Program Manager for additional or corporate support; Monitor the utilization and accountability of personnel, equipment and materials; Interface with Government inspectors as required; Accurate and timely reporting of deliverables to client and designated management personnel. May require travel to work sites outside of the United States to conduct site surveys or oversee installation phase – ensuring safety, budget, schedule and quality controls are established and met. Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of Project/Construction Management experience working with the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO) at the Department of State supporting U.S. Embassies or Consulates – specific to the FEBR and PSU programs Knowledge and experience with the design process, procurement of materials, overseas conditions, government contracts, scheduling, budget control and quality/safety initiatives. Ability to receive/maintain Government clearance. Structural or Civil Engineer helpful Salary: $90-95K with full benefits |
