I'm a piping g.f. with over 30 years in the trade. However, I'm as green as they come to overseas work. Most of my 30 years have been in heavy construction such as power houses, refinerys, ect. I'm now working on the embassy project in Beijing. And I must say that I'm looking forward to this e.o.c.

Hell what about that, try a hard one, does shit run uphill or downhill in Kuwiat? huh, huh, huh, how about that one.:doh

Let me get another cold one, and I will let you know, how to figure that out!

I tried 1 1/2 EMT with a hand bender once on a school project, slid down the hallway and cracked my f'n head on a wall locker.. So, I'd have to say smaller than that..:kib:

1-1/4" EMT with a foot bender,
or
1" rigid, with the same bender. It would be better with a peddle style...otherwise you need the ass.
Unless you are old school like me, and use a hickey and segment bend it, the RGS that is. Not many can do that, but that's what the old timers taught me on decks and concrete stub ups....25 years ago.

Yes, I remember, 1&1/2" emt, foot benders.

Working a slab, cutting all ridgid with a hand hacksaw, thread by hand, ream by hand, bend by hand every piece. Plus I remember concrete anchors using a star drill, for every one of them. Not a bit of fun off a 16' step ladder, lifts were not even thought of then.:AR15

No one shot hyd. benders. Ya a long time ago!!!!!!!!!!

A star drill is still the best way to drill out ceramic tile, or to get that annoying know it all apprentice to be tired at the end of the day. I still have one, the star drill that is...

Or you could try a HILTI TE55 over your head off a ladder, screw it onto a piece of rebar, get yanked up into the ceiling tiles and split your head on a sprinkler pipe for fun

Just kidding dude come on in here.

Hell I have a younger brother with the same desease called mechgj and some times, he has an awful spell of mechsup. We have tried everything to cure him, from Budweiser to jim bean, nothing seems to work.

Just hang on hand we will find a cure for it someday.

Tod--
From your replies you seem to have had a lot of trouble with cracking your head--that why you are in the com groupe now??
Mex Fish
How about the three legged vise that wont stand upright and threading 4" rgs with a mule and an axel attached to a threader head..some fun!!

I had to laugh when I remember the axle, if it comes loose from the die head it trys to kill everyone in 10feet. What a deal.

I remember we had a know it all foreman, he had a 2" through the head, machine setting in the bed of his truck, he decided to thread a piece of pipe with the machine setting in the truck bed, he got the die started and instead of pulling the arms out, and setting the die handle on the arm, he laid the handle down in bed, thats when the machine went air borne, around and around, allover the truck bed, most of the hands just stood back and laughed, the guy did finnally get it unplugged.

Some memorys never die.
