Well, kids, time is still coming and going for all of us. Some are gearing up to head to new jobs, some are just getting ready to leave them, and others are looking. The member base is now over 400 and growing.
As time goes on, more and more work is done on the site, to which I owe a LARGE amount of debt to TheJester, but I TOO do a lot of work on the site. One thing I'd like to point out, is that you might see MY name next to a lot of the job posts, but they are not all based off my findings. Some are PM'ed or emailed to me from people I know on "the inside" or more importantly, from THIS SITE.
HOWEVER, you all can post them up as well. If you have all the info or just some of it as a start. FEEL FREE to post it up in whichever job forum it applies to, IE: Rumored Jobs, Confirmed Jobs, etc.
The only reason I'm pointing this out again, is that I just got done with a job almost 3 weeks ago from Africa, I've come home, and I'm still putting a lot of time into this site for you all, but I need to take an ACTUAL vacation. The wife and kids are antsy to get out of here for spring break and so am I.
I'm also going to be cutting TheJester's access to the site and FORCE him to take some time off from the site.
What this all means is that, He and I will not be on site for some time(one to two weeks). I can't very well block his email address, well, I think I could, but I'm not going to take away any support issues or help he may be able to help the members with.
SOOOO, as I've said several times, YOU ALL make up this site, and YOU make it what it is. I'm going to exclude TheJester, MexFishGuide, and The Wild Rover from this statement and mean no disrespect to any others, but:
If you look on here and you are mad that you don't see a job you want or there is something you don't like, think to yourself 'when is the last time, if ever, I'VE posted a JOB to share with the others? What has this site done for me and what have I done for it?' All of us working together is the only way to completely take this industry over, to which, we have already started to do.
I can't name specifics, but if you have been paying attention to the site, you've seen the things we have accomplished, and there is much more to do.
Step up to the plate, help all of us help each other. I'll be back shortly, and I'm sure TheJester will go slightly out of his mind when he reads that I'm going to block him, but he'll get by. I'm going to enjoy some time off and I hope to see you all here when I return. :cheers
