security clearances

Does anyone know just how many people are out here with security clearances. Guesses are nice but some cold hard facts would be nicer. :cheers

Last time I researched it for a company that was interested in taking part in the site, we were running at a 90-95% rate of members with some sort of clearance or not, if that helps.
I'm sure you are talking about world wide, but I figured I would help you find a gauge by the number of members on site vs clearances.

Thats about what 280 members here and we are less then 10% +-, even at that we are up to 2800, overseas.

The biggest part of cleared americians overseas, are in government services not construction.

I do not include cleared americans, working stateside only! And I do not include service men and women.

I would guess the number seeking us embassy work to be around 500, maximum, that is all crafts. :2cents

Keep in mind some embassy jobs only use a very few americans,I was on one a few years ago where we had 5 americans. :wtf

well I have been hearing the 400-500 number around for a while. I never had read anything definitive about it. The number must stay fairly static. That is there must be the same number of people give it up as get a new one. I remember watching the bus leave with the guy's that had been kicked out of Moscow for ZPT. Then seeing the bus with the newbies replace them. (wasn't working for ZPT ):monkeypis
