Lady's and Gentlemen,
a certain some one, has been on my ass for lackin on my amount of posts.
This is not an over sight on my part.
I have been staying in the shadows for some time, watching and lurking.
Like many before me.
Granted, I am on the Counsel member list, however, if you combine that with a buck 289 I still cannot buy a cup of coffee with it.
I have some personal issues, within the site itself that only I can resolve.
on the same hand, I also have personal issues that are going on inside of this site, that you might be able to help.
As far as what I have seen going on about this site, and my time spent in the shadows, I can see alot of good. Alot more people are getting Alot more involved. This is one of the topics that was a big concern.
I for one, at one time, voted to shut this Damn thing down. Check the logs ! true story. I admit to it.
Myself, and this site, are always open to comments / criticism / suggestion.

Gotta do what you gotta do, hand.

Some time read and wonder, sometime get on your soap box and sound off.

You are right, a few more people are beginning to post up, but most of the folks just set by the way side, and try to figure out, what is going on.

For awhile last year I thought the site would shut down and posted so a couple times.

I hope some of the changes being proposed and made will perk the site up!

Take Care

I’m sitting here in Europe drinking some of the best beer in the world and going to work every day. I have not used this forum to find work just yet. At some point I will, so until then I wait on the sidelines until someone pisses me off. Then I will POST like a madman.
I think this site is a great idea that should have been done along time ago. It is still in it’s infancy and has some growing to do. One thing I would like to see is to be able to tell the difference between a paid forum and the non paid . That way you could tell if you are preaching to the choir or maybe talking to a guy that is on the fence as to weather to join or not. Anyway I’m going to be a part time lurker until I start looking for a job. And maybe I’ll post some sick humor to inflict on you poor souls. But hell there are enough forums in here to post any kind of comment, your semi anonymous so say something even if its wrong.

...One thing I would like to see is to be able to tell the difference between a paid forum and the non paid...Anything in the Job Listings sections (Confirmed Jobs, Rumored, etc), that is paid, anything else, is open forum to all, except companies.

I have been reading and watching this site for only a short time now and I feel compelled to add my nickel. The decision to subscribe was a no brainer for me. I see it as very simple. For the price of one less beer a week I am privy to the inner workings of the minds of some very knowledgeable and interesting people. With the added benefit of maybe finding work that keeps me in lifestyle that I really like. No I am not talking about all the lame ass shit that presents it self in the form of some of the idiots we have to work for. I mean traveling and building something substancial that I can come back in 5 years, tear down and rebuild. Sorry sometimes I can not resist sarcasm. Anyway I can see this site becoming an even more relevant force down the road and I can sure as hell use my beer money to support it. My only complaint is that I can not easily choose my shirt size on that damn pay pal site, but I have been known to miss the obvious in the past. Thanks guys

Good to have you hear, Old Dawg, and I'm thankful that for your first post you posted such nice words. Always good to hear. :cheers
If PayPal is a pain in the but, click on the credit card images and it is there too. PayPal should have a place to pick the size, but if it doesn't, just email me once you place the order and I'll make sure you get the right size.

More power to you dude. A lot of my family are retired military. :rockwoot:

My point is this, a person can be an excellent manager in the military,
but that will not make them a good construction manager. That simple.

you talk about people sitting back on the sidelines or watching others across the fence. that's the same old shit that's been going on forever. you have your movers and shakers, then you have these guys that just want to ride everyones coattails. i'm new to this site haven't sub. yet, but tell you guys what my base is going to be primarilly in the states. plan on working overseas maybe 3 to 4 months out of the year to offset my income. but what i can do is be a good set of eyes and ears. i'm always hunting for the next best thing, if clued on to anything the pack will be the first to know. otta here:cheers

SO, If I am ex-military, an asshole, and don't have years of experience in whatever profession you guys are in... I should not hire you? Or the price to hire you just went up?:nono:

With regards to the military, the institution, some of the concepts, values and principals are great. The problem is some of the people are fucked up. They misunderstand the “big picture”. You can not judge the military as a whole based on some of the retards it produced. Most of the squared away ones you won't remember or even know they were in. :doh

You only remember the losers that have nothing else to fall back on as accomplishments except their days as "heroes" in the service. Being a 13 year army vet and having been on both sides of the fence... What I have learned to date, the guys that crow the most and brag of their vast experience and qualifications from their military time, were usually sub standard soldiers.

Those who can :rockwoot: -do. We prove it everyday and do not have to justify who we used to be to impress upon every body who we want you to think we are. Respect is earned; it can not be bought by position. If you are a winner, or know what the fuck you are doing, it is readily apparent regardless of your past.-rob

the guys that crow the most and brag of their vast experience and qualifications from their military time, were usually sub standard soldiers. So you're saying you've met some CST's :LolLolLol

I don't know where this went to a thread about past military experience, but if you are in the military or have served, you get my respect in any way I can give it. Hell, I bought a line of soldiers at BK lunch once. It's nothing, but hell, it's something.

You see those flags waving at the top of the page. I put them there and I'll fight anyone to the death that tries to change that or disrepect any aspect of that flag. The point is, this is about work. So, before this goes any further :offtopic let's get back to it. We're cleared AMERICANS and there is a reason the color scheme of this site and the logo came out to be Red, White, and MF BLUE.

Could'nt have said it any better. I'm 47 now and the kids are raised, I've put in my time and I'm pretty much off the leash. Time for some new adventures and friends.

Lookin' forward to meeting some of you guys "out there". Now, if I can only find a company that will hire me and sponsor the Security Clearance.
