Once in a while you have the opportunity to work with some guys that are on the same page. Guys with integrity and who take their responsibility seriously.
I have the good fortune to have some guys like that on my project.
I am the electric super here but I was here today, Sunday, doing power changeover from temporary to permanent power. I never ask anyone to do something I am unwilling to do myself, so I was here.
Two of my top American electricians were here, Sunday, worked 6hours, we got the job done and NO WHINING!

I give a thumbs up to these guys. You know who you are and I don't forget.

We should ALL strive to do quality work with pride. Maybe it's no fun having to work Sundays. Maybe we don't like the hours period or the location or, or, or........Or we can understand that we signed the contract and should do the best job we can. Sometimes that requires long hard hours with not enough material or support. Still, do what you can, and do it well.
I am not saying to accept an employer F***ing you over!
I am saying take pride in being a rat and through our ethic and integrity we thumb our noses at the office trash who will never understand why we get paid three times what they get with 30 days vacation every year. (This scum lives to make me fill out forms and endless paperwork.)

Cheers to all you rats out there who get what I am saying.

That reminds me of one of the reasons I recently turned down a offer to return to embassy work. I had worked overseas 6 years and never had to time to return to states and take some upgrade courses that M.C. Dean offer. One of those was Electrical Masters lincense and in doing this required to show 10 years of journeyman experience. Well when I received my former employers time on job showed that I worked on average 65.7 hrs per week every week of year for 10 years. That kind of made me realize that all those sundays and late hrs that you just spoke of rung a bell of just always stepping up to the plate when needed. So to all of those that do this same kind of hrs I salute you.:cheers:cheers
