Questions to our government ?

It is my understanding that the Congress is exempt from new Healthcare and so is the Prez. How can that be?

When the people fear their government there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Thomas Jefferson :rockwoot:

Amendment 28

Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.

Let's get this passed around, folks - these people have brought this upon themselves!

Sounds right to me.

LMAO... this is how it's written on Fleming's homepage:wtf

The H. Res 615 is available at Fleming.house.gov and it reads in particular.

"Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Members who vote in favor of the establishment of a public, federal government run health insurance option are urged to forgo their right to participate in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) and agree to enroll under that public option.

This thing cuts funding to education and educational loans too (Can we PLEASE quit cutting here????)

However, federal employees are paying more now too. The union estimates that 250,000 federal workers are uninsured, mostly because they can't afford the premiums. Their most popular plan went up by 15% for an individual according to the San Francisco Chronicle this week... Sux to be them, I guess.

However, the same article also said that a middle class family of four with an income of 66K would pay 10% of their income in taxes... That would suck.:kib:

Either way you look at it, this plan is not a good idea. They've rolled entirely too much into one vote.
