A union brother of mines on here told me about this site. We are both trying to get over seas, but... My question is, " I have three felonies, all over 13 yrs. old. Is it worth me trying or am I trying to make a 3/8 hole with a 1/2 inch bolt"?

Well,
If you are an Iron worker, just use that spud and sleever to get that bolt to go man!
Honestly, It depends on the felonies. I have seen some felons get a clearance, but they had their charges exspunged (erased). I would definitely try, but the odds are slim. Keep your sleever bar sharp buddy, and for the sake of the ground pounders, keep that washer tight, and that bolt bag clean!

If you're looking for a clearance job, I agree with Rover. But if you just want to get overseas, there are plenty of non-clearance jobs that would only depend on company policies on hiring people with felony records.

Either way, be straight up about it and don't try to hide it--that will only come back to bite you later on. Good luck with the search.

:banghead Thanks for the answers brothers. I'm not a paying member yet, but i will be soon. Because I would really like to get over seas to work. I'm in the process of getting my record expunged. But I'd appreciate any help y'all could give me about getting over there. Especially if the pay matches. Until then, guess I'll just keep chasing the hook. :cheers This one's for you guys. hook right be right

Worked with 2 many guys with records..i thought i was doing something wrong..lol.. i agree, most non clearance jobs dont care..for that matter most "clearance jobs" are a bunch of BS..i have had to beg to get my clearance from jobs that say you need one. I know some will agree that alot of "clearance jobs" are just a smoke screen. With some being super strict on you having one (*cough Mantech*). But just like the "dont ask dont tell policy" in the service. Try to go by that... dont tell. Unless they find it..just my 2 cent. Get over there and make that $$$

I have 50 personal emails, phone numbers, names of Major Contractors Hiring Right Now. I keep up with people in all Dangerzones.. so i try to stay in the "know".
