There were the original subcontractor on a project I finished several months ago. Although they'd done good work for us in the past, this time they were slow out of the gate, wouldn't staff it correctly, wouldn't really get started on the work, and didn't respond to Cure Notices...and we ended up terminating their contract.

With that said, I HAVE heard they do good work; maybe they took that contract too cheap and just pulled the pin.

They contracted for us to build several sites in Iraq. We had problems with counterfeit material, poor workmanship, and delays. I sent one of my guys to a site to do some inspections for a progress payment and they threw him off the site at gunpoint.

I wish I could say I was exaggerating that but I can't. I took it all the way up to the O-6 and that particular individual was removed from the project.

Sounds like a situation we need to stay away from. Then make sure everything is well documented, and run like the devil is chasing you.:banghead
Too Bad company's can't be straight up like they used to be.
Poor work no matter what the company's involvement reflects bad on all of us. If you think it is wrong then don't do it, and document what has happened. This crap has to stop before someone else gets killed. It's up to us now!!!!!!
