You may need to check with DOS travel warnings ! & CDC for health care & suggestions. That is a very nasty & war torn place. Check to be sure of what kind of lodging & food will be furnished.Be sure the pay is high enough for a war zone.:rockwoot:

That was for support of troops in Darfur, I got the same email. They were just not paying enough for the location and living conditions. :banghead

Drewski myself and Mega watt, have both recieved the same type pending offer, in that area and as we both have commented it was for tent living, for construction work on military bases for the local military people. I turned down a firm offer, as project engineer for the total country - based out of the capital city, but forward duty as the job required. Not to be-little your information by any means, I appreciate you contribution to work for the rat bro. Remember if the job fits your needs and desires, by all means go for it, to hell with all the other folks comments. Good Luck.:rockwoot:

Hell!! a tent would have been a luxury for me and the Marines I was working with near the Syrian/Iraqi border. I just want another job and I can sleep in the dirt with a bag if the EFT is on time and correct (also of the sufficient amount:) Besides, one cannot discuss Sudan without including Darfur and we know what that means.
Hell having dirt would have been a luxury. All we had was these little bitty rocks the size of a pinhead. And bits of broken coral. And mosquitoes. And .....who's next?

Oh, what I wouldn't give for some broken little rocks.
We lived in a hole in the ground covered by some twigs, but it was home to us.:fauches:

I lived on the side of the road in a cardboard box, with a rolled up newspaper for a pillow... and in the morning, ate the gravel for breakfast.

Rover - at least you had gravel to eat. We had to make do with a big gulp of sandy air. No cardboard for a house and no road to put it by.
Good ol days.

I'll see your gulp of sandy air and RAISE you by contaminating that same gulp of air with "NOCARDIA" which is something I caught from contaminated dirt in Iraq. Till then I didn't even know what that was. It shows up in X-rays like TB and is easily treated with anti-biotics BUT!!!! it is fatal if not detected/treated...

All the dessert countries are to my knowdledge (bad) for you. :blahslap
Iraq, Kuwait, Afghaistan, Pakistan, etc - Some of my worst living & working conditions were in northern Arabia on the Kuwait, Iraq, border including the unclaimed zone. @00 mile from nothing - brackash water to use, goat & rice for food, no way to drive out, no telephones, no internet, you were there on your own, make out the best you could. That pretty well done me for working in that area.
Take care
