Aurora is the new name of Grunley-Walsh International. GWI was bought by Robert Farah, a former First Kuwaiti employee, and he changed the name to Aurora.

Libreville, you better SERIOUSLY think about what you are doing if you are going to go there. Search it on the net, cause that aint no tourist trap

If anyone out there wants to be frustrated, angry, embarrassed of the management, wants to watch grass grow, instead of material delivered to the site go for it. Or basically you have no ethics, or care nothing about your reputation in the construction world…..Go For It.
If you want to be told that you are only on-site because you are cleared American, Go For It.

BTW all of this for pay that is way under the Bar. Unless you are an ex-obo employee, with No general contractor construction experience or a Engineer with No Job-site experience, you will get paid very well. The requirement is you would have worked in Baghdad!

As an ex employee of Aurora and HITT I have a few things to clear up here.
John Winters was not involved with the demise of Albania, he left prior to it going down hill. The Upper management, namely John Winters Boss, was the one that had the problems with a sub-contractor namely Morrison and kicked them to the curb. Mr. Winters left when that happened.
As for Aurora, there are a few things here to discuss. One, Robert Farah one of the Owner's of Aurora is in fact Lebonese, but he is not associated with the FKTC group, never has been. He does know the owner of FKTC. But that is as far as it goes. The issues with the project in Libreville, have been from the lack of support, materials, staff of FKTC not Aurora. Aurora is a startup company that is trying their level best to make things happen. Surabaya is out of the ground and they are moving forward. Things are further worsen by the fact that there is an OBO/PD Mike Ross that has done nothing but stood in the way, stop work orders, deficiency notices, everything that you can imagine. I was on this site for about 5 months and I will say that the support by Aurora was where it needed to be. It is a FKTC issue, and they are ready to now move with foundations and other work. I still keep in contact with several of the staff there. I left the project for personal reasons at home that needed my attention. Ease up on Aurora and John Winters. Not a bad company and person. Just ask the staff on-site they will tell you the same. Wages are abit low, and Libreville isn't a holiday place.

BRAVO -- Wonderful Marketing.....sounds really good. Like I said before everyone needs to work it's just at what cost, and I don't just mean the dollars.
