Do you like Company "hoops"?

Well, it is nothing new, but, MAN, am I getting kind of tired of jumping through company "hoops". My latest example? I was talking with a company HR guy for SIX MONTHS, SIX MONTHS, prior to completing a job I was working on. I got next to nothing back from them. Then, I get home and he wants to know if I can leave in less than a week because they need to fill a position, ASAP.

I had to turn it down because I was a little aggetated, to begin with, but also, because I had not even began to unwind from the last job. Anyone else getting annoyed with this.

We are, unfortunately, still at the mercy of the companies, putting us in the "begger" position, when it comes to work, but this is rediculous. Anyone else have experiences like this? :wtf

Yeah, after appling with JAJ about a week after I got all my paper work in, they want me to leave for a job in a couple weeks. I wasn't expecting to hear from them that soon, so I had to turn it down. Now nearly 3/4s of year later, I still don't have an overseas job.

I understand that, a few weeks ago i revieved several calls from a co. out of New Jersey, we talked back and forth for several days, then one morning they called and ask if I would leave in 3 days,,,??

These guys kept telling me how great the job was, good pay, airplane furnished, on & on & on, I kept saying thats great but what is the compensation?? Oh we will take care of you. :wtf

I said but we have not even settled on a contract, their answer was, I guess then we will have to get a man out of Great Britian!!! :nono:

Of course being the ol red neck that I am, hell broke loose after a few choice words, I said the reason you called me, was because the brit you had, could not get the job done, you can take your airplane and load it with your goat & rice meals, and shove it???? expleative here.
