Hey I'm new at this and probably a little late with this question, but I know the OBO contract for TSS work has been awarded to 4 companies and I know that the 2 of the companies are AES and the other one is Atlantic Comm Tech. Who are the other 2 companies that have been awarded this contract? Have they been hiring people as of lately? There's been rumor that they are waiting for all the overseas jobs to be awarded then they will be doing a mass hiring. Does anybody out there know anything about this.

I may have read your post wrong? There are more then 3 TS companys with work!

Did you mean a certain trade are TS in general?

A very big contract is getting ready to start that is logcap for Fluor.

Yeah I was talking about the OBO Technical Security Contract that is usually given to 1 company, but this year there is a different format, I heard that it was given to 4 companies. It is usually given to a sub-contractor and they basically do most of the security work at Embassies and Consulates overseas (cameras, access control, etc.). It usually is garenteed work for about 5 years.

I spoke with Bonnie Holcom about a month ago, she is the contact for log cap. She told me it was under protest but they should be hiring in June. She also said it would be a massive hire of about 3 or 4 thousand people and the pay would be about 100k a year. Thats not rumor that came from her.

jcrap solid info much appreciated. I am on the line with ITT to head over to the sandbox to do some IT work. Gonna man up and get my CCNA cert before I leave here so can get on the Network team. Fluor is supposed to be a good company to work for. ITT and Fluor are teamed up together for the LOGCAP IV.

The four companies that have the current OBO contract for "alarm, signal and security detection equipment" are:

--Atlantic CommTech Corp., Norfolk, VA
--AES Corp., Peabody, MA
--Infotec Systems Corp., Summerville, SC
--Applied Security Tech., Houston, TX

Yes bro

Logcap has been under protest for some while now. I recieved word last week from Fluor HR, that it was close to being a go again. This came from a good source.

It is a big contract and will hire several thousand folks.:wtf

Good to know but I can get my company to pay for the CCNA boot camp for me before I go over there and then study for CCNP while over there.
