I thought I should throw out this little tip, being as I don't think all of you are familiar with format in a website. First of all, let me point out, if you are not a registered member (completed both steps) or a subscribing member, you will not be able to do EITHER of these.
The breakdown is like this:
Forums: These are all the different catagories you see in the FORUMS section. Anything from Applications to Welders, those are all forums.
Threads: Threads are what are in the forums, are the different conversations that are going on inside that particular forum.
Posts: These are each individuals comment in the thread.
Ok, with that terminology out of the way, we can go on. We'll start with the easiest. Replying to a Post. When you are reading through a thread and you see something you want to add, respond to, or just make a comment about, all you have to do is click on the "Post Reply". This button is located in TWO PLACES: at the top left side of the thread you are reading, OR at the bottom left side of the thread you are reading.
Simply click on "Post Reply", type what you want to say, then click on the button at the bottom of the page that says "Submit". Your post will then be added to the thread automatically. BUT, you must be a registered member in order to do this.
Now, if you want to add a different topic or subject to a specific thread, for example, Electricians, you will have to create a NEW THREAD.
This is very simple as well. Simply go to the forum you want to post it in (IE: Trades), and at the top left side of the list of threads you will see "New Thread", click this button.
The only difference, at this point, from "New Thread" and "Posting Reply" is that when you create a "New Thread", you HAVE TO PUT IN A SUBJECT. This helps others see what you are talking about in this thread. Other than that, you do the same things. Type out what you want to say, then click "Submit New Thread" at the bottom of the page.
I hope this helps some of you out and we can hear more from more people. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to learn on the site. Go ahead and test it out by posting a reply to this thread now.
