That furniture guy

I have been approached about possibly jumping into that Zach/Cadd project. What is the real word from the men that are living it. You know, the real skinny: living conditions, hours, state of the project. In other words, The TRUTH of what I may sign up for. Is this the project that was the banana under the Generals foot, that no one noticed?

Is this the project that was the banana under the Generals foot, that no one noticed? I was there 1 year ago, and the job was pretty messed up. Everything was out of order, foreman's that we're way out of their trade and didn't kno anything but how to cuss at the one who did, but he was the FOREMAN. I hear that they may have gotten others that are more in trade so that may have helped. As far as living conditions GREAT-- FOOD depends on where you eat- I personally would be on the next plane back . CHINA is a GREAT PLACE as far as being in another country besides the GOOD OLE USA. My wife came over 3 times for a total of 2 1/2 months and wasn't intininated by going out and seeing the place. TRY IT!!!

Snap out of it bro, keep the conversation to the topic of the thread, which is what about the Beijing job...this should be in another Forum. Trust me, I get off topic all the time. Go to the middle of the page, click on Home underneath the Ratpack banner, Click on Forums, click on "Voice it".

any one who was working on that wall wont forget the day zachry tried to defy the laws of gravity and common sense "if you cant extend the out riggers fully, dont make the pour" and can not forget the sight of an extended boom full of concrete that smashed up a bunch of rebar where there were quite a few hands working just a little bit close to the impact zone. the operator was only following orders "lem told him to get on with it" and with an audience of rail polishers and the ministry of state security action cams rolling documented " the zachry way" in action. this is one instance where people were put at risk. alot of hand were pissed and talked about walking off but instead just went and had a few at maggies.

Yeah I bet we looked REAL impressive to the Chinese that day!! Can you imagine the guy that had to bring that truck back and ask for another one?

Ni hao! By the way we totalled your truck, do you think we can borrow another one?

When you have men in charge of concrete that really have no business even running it, that's what you get. What baffles me is that they had a guy that had worked for them for over 25 years but the PM brings in his crew of complete idiots and lets them run it, and they have virtually no concrete experience. Luckily somebody wasn't killed, and all it turned into was a finger pointing game when the total blame should have been squarely placed on the idiot PM. :nono:

Mexfshguide:cheers Boy mrbreeze and tavi-- You guys sure do whine alot about the little things-- don't you??? I mean the day was nothing--I mean there was only about 10 guys that could have been killed that day!!!! I don't guess you remember the day that we just had a fire drill about 1 week before and they ushered us all over to within a 60 yard reach of some pretty potentual explosive action, and crap that day there was only about 300 or 350 out there!!! Oh by the way the pump truck operator was a INTERM AND HAD NOT BEEN OPERATING THE TRUCK THAT LONG WHEN THE OPERATOR WENT ON R&R . He told those PM'S AND SHINNY SHOES that he couldn't extend all the way out, and I believe they said either do it or bac to school!!! BY THE WAY GUYS ---I TRULY BELIEVE THIS IS RIGHT IN THE SEWING LIKE OF THE THREAD!!!!! I just wished I had kept a journal and could prove a bunch of the crap that went on !!! I do remember it .
