Whether or not you were on his good side or bad side, Jerry Killin was a WEALTH of information in the Overseas Business. As far as I know he has been doing this kind of work since the early to mid fifties.
On 3-21-05 a vacuum was felt around the industry as "Killer" passed away after being in a coma while receiving treatment for a small cancer in his lung.
I was not a good friend of his, but I was on several jobs with him and I can tell you he will be dearly missed. Not only as the humorous person he was, but also for the INFINITE knowledge he had.

Rest in peace my friend, we will try to carry on without you.

You summed it up pretty well, the loss will be felt for many years to come. Lost a good one for sure.

He was 63. I just found this in his local newspaper:

I only knew Jerry on one job but it was quick to see that he was the best all-around mechanical superintendant I ever worked with. Even when he was bumped up to job-super, he still smoked most of them I know.

I am proud to have called Jerry my friend. Rest in peace buddy. And when you get settled in, have a ice-cold one from your partners down here. You will be sorely missed.
