Job Description:
This position will support the U.S. Navy on a SATCOM contract. The duration of this contract is five years. We would prefer that candidates make a one-year commitment, and may work all five years, if desired.
Duties:
Provide professional and fully competent on-site support for customer systems, customer personnel and company technical personnel in Iraq
Operate and maintain VSAT/IP/VoIP/EoIP systems using latest TDMA SATCOM technologies
Specify, manage logistical support, tooling, etc.
Support help desk functions by providing troubleshooting, problem resolution expertise
Support new site installations on-site and provide coordination and oversight of construction, subcontracting, proper workmanship and problem resolution.
Background and Experience Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Standards:
MUST HAVE Associates Degree in Engineering/IT or related science field
Minimum 8 years of broadband satellite IP service experience
Expertise in iDirect satellite hardware and Cisco routers/switches
Expertise in VoIP equipment and services
U.S. Citizenship
Possession of, or eligible to obtain U.S. DoD SECRET clearance
