I served in the US Air force for 6 years as a telephone equipment installer/ tech. I cross trained into cable splicing (copper amd fiber optics). I spent 13 additional years in the US Army as a telecommunications / microwave / satcom installer. I retired in 1998 at the rank of Capt. 03E. I was employed by International Fiber Com, Inc for 5 years as a construction manager, telecommunications infrastructure designer and contract estimator. Major projects include 101st Avaition Division HQ & 11 support building complex at Ft Campbell Ky / 3rd Brigade HQ and Barracks complex, Ft Campbell KY, / 160th SOAR Maintenance hanger and HQ building Ft Campbell KY / 160th SOAR flight simulator, Ft Campbell KY.
Mulitpal telecommunications infrastructure projects at Vanderbilt University and University of Tennessee Knoxville. Currently working as secondary school vocational instructor in Cabling Technology and Fundamendals of Networking at Natchez Trace Youth Academy.
I have over 30 years in the telecommunications field. I hold a ETA fiber optic designer and install certification, BICSI Technician level Certification, State of Tenessee Professional teaching license in the field of telecommunications infrastructure systems and fundamentals of Networking. I have personal Commendation Medals, Good conduct medals and Personal Achievement medals from the US Air Force and US Army. I held a security clearence of TS the entire 20 years of my military service.
