well I know a few guys that were in Paris with me and were laid off being told that they were going to rome, and they were even given report dates, but still not there for one reason or another. I too ask does anyone have info on rome and if so dont be afraid to speak up i know that when you get inside info on a job keeping it to yourself is a survival tactic one must consider to be one who gets the job then pass it on,but by now someone has to know whats up. come on Rats someone in here knows something speak up.:cheers

Well you might call work mates your brother but would they if they were your brother keep info from you. Some might but good brothers would not. If one knows his trade and install his share of the work and install it, right whats a little competition. All who are good will always prevail. Only the chicken shits need an advantage like keepping any info about a job or giving out false info.
:wtf

I sent an e-mail to one of the hands I know working there and Gilford is still on site. He stated they brought the power system up yesterday and have completed Phase I. He stated nobody has informed the men on site that Gilford has lost the contract and they are still plugging away starting Phase II. He stated the Project has all the normal problems that we run into but the work is progressing and getting done. Don't shoot the messenger...just trying to help out.

Hey SSIWilly,
You gotta join first my friend:cheers. And you guys should post the info about who has what projects in the subscribers only areas...it's being paid for, so we should keep it that way for the guys that pay for it.
And you guys bring up a good point about posting.... as far as people not sharing, or keeping the work to themselves, I hope ALL of you ask yourselves "How many job posts have I put up?, And how much info have I shared?" I think it's wrong when guys that hardly post projects, or upcoming work, get on and cry about others lack of posting...and then talk about "Brotherhood":wtf I think FATBOY was correct.
I am not saying that it's you guys that don't contribute, and I think we all realise that it's hard to get a job sometimes, and honestly, I believe about only 2 to 5% of the members post job info, the rest are just lurking, looking for a handout. It's been this way since the site started. No offence to you guys, but I think you are beating a dead horse, but at least you posted your concerns...it's a start. PNGelectrician responded with a great post...
Do you know what gets me....It's sad to watch some of these guys jump on a new member, and ask for ALL the project details as soon as he gets on, or to have a member post up the jobsite contacts and info, only to have some guy innundate the thread with redundant questions and info, where if they took the time to CALL or e-mail the resume to the adress or contact person provided, they would have the info...:banghead do we need to hold your hand and dail the number for you too? How do you get yourself to the job every morning without your mommy there to wake you? God, I don't know how some of you guys even tie your frigging shoes.:2cents

I am incognito in Minsk, as it were. I don't think anyone is incognito here really, but the beer is cheap... And if you join, you get all the info about the current contractor work, there has been a ton just submitted...for jobs in Europe, Africa, Asia, and...possibly coming this week, a big one that we all will want to be on, just waiting for the confirmation...all for the price of what you would spend on a saturday night drinking with the boys.
