Best I can offer is that Freetown's NEC was completed about a year or two ago. If you have info on new work going on there- well, you're the best source of info to post anything here yet. Give us the details, and I'll ask some of the guys who were on the Embassy build what conditions were like back then, and let you know.

I work with a CST that was in freetown, in fact he bought property there.

Don't jump to conclusions, yet, Pops. Turns out the info I posted was wrong. The last of the workers on the Freetown project just started filtering out about three months ago. Sorry.

But the Embassy has been sold and moved into recently, wouldn't surprise me to hear there's new work scheduled. So the ball is in Sasquatches court now. Post up, bro.:cheers

All I know is the company I am working for has got a 4 week remodel of a suite. Doesn't sound like a lot of work. Usually they only send three to four people out. I haven't accepted it yet waiting to see what the conditions are there. Sorry it isn't more. If I hear of anything I will be sure to post it.:cheers

I was Electrical Sup. for the first 14 months of the New Embassy project.it's a cool place after you get over the smell.the Good Hotel is is up near the Embassy but it's about $150.00 a day. you can Talk 'em down to $100.00 with an Embassy I.D. The good Cheap hotel is Down near the Beach At About $75.00 a day there are only 3 to look at anyway.the food is ok at the hotels only.unless you like getting the Shits.and the Girls are about $20.00 to $50.00 And River #2 is a must see.be carful on the roads.S.O.S. flights are slow as hell at 6 hours min. and the hospitals are for shit.and the Snakes (green Momba) will kill you in a heart beat.Good Luck,Buddy:2cents

Thanks for the information. Sounds like a place I would rather stay away from. I have sworn to stay out of Africa. I could start practicing (welcome to walmart)
