Two Issues

I'm just really tired of being out here in the field doing the work, putting up with the bullshit, and feeling that no matter how good I do something, the work, it doesn't matter to most or even the contractor. They just want it done fast, not neccessarily right and that pisses me off. I take the time, effort, and knowledge to do it ONCE and to not do REWORK, but most could care less as the other crafts ARE doing rework. It's as though rework has just become a way of life so no one cares when someone is WAY ahead of schedule or not doing rework. It's just an "attaboy". I went to the bank once and tried to deposit my last five "attaboys" and two "pats on the back", but the girl at the counter told me to kiss her ass.

Secondly, I just ordered the new Black Pocketed t-shirt. Every time I order one, there is a new one right after it. If you put out another new shirt next week, I'm going to find you and kick you in then nuts. :kib:

I know you can't deposit my words in the bank either, but your wok does look professional in every way and it is a reflection of your workmanship, knowledge and love of your craft. Let it go. Sooner or later you will reap the rewards of your labor.

Doing the job right is not an option. Thats what we wer trained to do and is what makes us professionals.
To do any less would take us to the level of those who we have no respect for, and makes us as ignorant as those HR people who staff their projects with cheap and ignorant labor..... Keep your work ethics high....there are those of us who appreciate it....

Take a look at the OBO spec's they plainly state work shall be installed in accordance with the NEC and IEC. which was combined into the 2005 code book. So if some PM or QC person says forget the code then burn his ass with docementation , dates with who ,what ,when ,and where also witness that were present when these statements were make.rest assured when this information is presented to the GAO some body 's nuts will be in the vise and you will be turning the handle!

Of course the regs are laid out in print, but you know that the PM's and the OBO PM's get together to discuss changes to the plans all the time, even the OBO office back in the states, as long as someone can convince them it can be done and work, it gets blessed.
