Hey guys from my last post i was supposed to go to Vienna. Well as you all know things change quick. Looks like i'm gonna take the plung and head off to Iraq. Here's the info i recieved about the particulars.
Bring 3 or 400 dollars, you will have to work at it to spend it. We have it set up at the embassy to cash checks for up to 300, but it will take a couple of weeks to get you added. You can use your check card or credit card at the px and draw 20 over each purchase. I understand your frustration, If I quit a good job and the next one did not materialize I would have a case of the ass. I will give you all the lowdown on all the ins and outs of hardline when you get here.... I expect it will take about 2 weeks to get you here... Dan will send you all the paperwork, need physical, dental check up, some other bullshit, send off and receive back a country clearance, then you fly down to dc, in process the rest of the way into the company, go to Ft belvoir process for your CAC card, then Hop a flight to Kuwait..... get screwed with for about 2-4 days and hate life, Catch a flight to Iraq and to the BIOP.... get screwed with and hate life for 12-20 hours.... catch a rhino bus to job site.... then all gets better. Military handles the transportation from Kuwait to Jobsite... so expect to get herded like cattle, Get up at 2am to catch a 10am flight, and expect it to be a miserable cluster fuck and you wont get your feelings hurt or be surprised at the inconvienece of it all. This is the most miserable part of the trip. Gets better once you get here....more later-rob
