From what you wrote it sound like you were eating Shashlik at Stell's on the edge of Bishkek. The guitar player in the band would be Igor that does the hard rock at the bomb shelter not too far from what used to be called the American Pub. Now just called The Pub I think.

KUK/KBR has been around a while. The were doing a pretty good job of taking care of their guys and paying well. But then they discovered Atlantic Group. Now Atlantic Group is supplying them with unskilled hicks and helpers at a fraction of the price. Like any bad drug KUK/KBR is addicted. Basically they have turned into a shit company just like Atlantic Group.

This thread seems to be more about beer than KUK/KBR at the risk of getting back on topic. I started with KUK/KBR about a month ago and so far so good. They have their quirks like every company but pay is good and I'm treated well. They have set themselves up as mostly project management and subed the cleared work out to Atlantic Group. I have been told that they will be doing more self-performing in the future, now exactly how that will equate into hiring I couldn't say.
