Yerevan vs Bamako Mali?
Not Even close, I would live in Yerevan Armenia in the dead of winter for months with a smile rather than spend 2 weeks in Bamako, That is one of the saddest poverty/Aids strucken places in the world!

I know! I worked in Yerevan w/ Karl. Just ribbing him some.
I am surprised at you guys, Yerevan was the perfect example of Eden when we were there. Beautiful gray smog, crisp below freezing concrete to walk on, wonderfully large pot holes you could hide a short bus in, burning leaves and trash on the sidewalks downtown, 14 yr old hooker trying to sell her little brother in front of the Shitrack, oh, I could go on and on and on and on.
at least we had Kotayk.

Yervan in the dead of winter...looked like the dark side of the moon, and in the summer, like the mountains of the moon. Fuck JAJ, PM... D. R....what an asshole. I hope I never seem him walking down the street...I'll go over the curb to kill him.
As far as Bamako goes, at least it's not Arab...I'd go to Togo and lome, no problem, the post is good, the job sounds alright, and the work sounds like it would be good. Consider the other shitholes in Africa, and this one seems ok...cold beer, good conditions, the pay makes it to your account...what more do you want....qualified tradesmen?!?! Lets get these jobs manned with the right, qualified trades, and they all will be great. That is the whole idea of this site..to offer skilled tradesmen a chance to make a difference. There seems to be too many guys that want to make a fortune right out of the gate. Working is better than sitting at home with the better half wondering why there is no money coming in..lets get some guys there, and keep these jobs filled with OUR guys!!!
Who walked the streets in Armenia with me in the winter?

I was there with you Tracy, and flew out with you. Drifter was there, Karl was there, hell everybody was there to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.

I was too...cold as hell inside, too bad that jerk Don Riekert ran it...
how about the steaks at the Monte Cristo, even if it was a gay old restaurant.

The club downstairs from Monte Cristo was a good time.....Oh those nasty kotayks....................
And I never could remember how to say "no sour cream", even though several guys tried to tell me. No telling what I actually said, but it got a reaction at the Euro Bistro! Remember the girl who parted her teeth in the middle?

Man, reading this thread is making me think back to this place....f--ked up job but we had some very good times there. I am thinking of taking my next vacation in Yerevan!!
Drifter, try to get your old room with the plama tv, sauna, fireplace, wet bar, and all that. Those poor souls who had to stay at the shitrack didn't know how good we had it over at the Congrease. Good thing they didn't find out while we were there.
Have a Kotayk for me.:cheers :cheers :cheers

If only I could watch the World Cup from there, I would have it made in the shade. But, instead, I am forced to watch it on the 36" I have in Kathmandu. Although, I have to watch it in my "HEART-SHAPED bed that revolves 'round and round the "stocked web-bar", it's not too bad... as a matter of fact, they are coming up to re-stock it in a minute or two, which is included in my Per Diem!!!.....NICE!!!
Later!!
