Honestly I couldn't tell you what is happening. All I know is that yes some people have been sent home very recently and yes I have heard rumors that it has something to do with locals. Nothing verified but then again, I am only a CAG and they don't tell us shit. I do know however that as long as it is reported and she is not someone of concern then it is ok.

When they go to kick someone off the job, do they make a big "show" of it too? You know, waiting till the middle of the day instead of going to their room before they head out in front of everyone, having all the CAG/CST's come and get him, then parade him out the gate to be on a plane that night?

the autopsy on mack was in conclusive. they dont know shit. he had been here for 22 months. go figure. as for the people getting run off. it is happening because of company management. you dont kiss ass, you loose. they are some very good friends and they know their jobs very well, but would not suck up to management. will be suprised if this company finishes the job with the skill of people they are getting. :cheers

Where are the cleared expats going to come from? Is this just beginning of no more cleared expats? If so, will we use Russians for the security and telecom systems? Example, in Baghdad the bulk of the construction work is being done by forgein nationals, from what I hear they are all over the job like the proverbial stink on sh--. SOOOOOOOO why are we demanding cleared expats on such a small amount of the work?????????????:wtf

Plus,,,,,, just because some of these fruitcakes have a clearance? It does not make them a journeyperson of any trade. We had a couple of non cleared hands in Tirana that are stand up journeymen, but try & try, they can not get a clearance at this time??:rockwoot:

I still maintain there should be at least 1 cleared expat as a leadman, for every 4 or so non american workers, that would put a few hundreed to work in Baghdad alone. If we do not make them cleared then at least make them americans, the cleared workers could come in on all the terminations and security work. At least we would be putting some fellow americans to work.

One of the big deals in Baghdad was the US contractors can not get the workers they need, not true! They could get a boat load of non-cleared american construction workers.:nono:
