Chat program

Is the chat program gone for ever. It was little used but it sure came in handy. :cheers

When I was dealing with all that stuff, the program for it was out dated and hadn't been upgraded to match the new software running the site, so it may be gone forever. I was also working on a pager, so that if you saw someone on site at THAT moment that you wanted to get in touch with, it would let you, but there were problems and I didn't finish it.

Yeah, it's like TheJester said. The software for this site runs differently and is more advanced than the software that ran for Chat Room. Basically, when the last upgrade was done here, which I heard was a nightmare :moon , it updated a lot of programming language, but the Chat Room program is still set up for the old language.

So, until the people that wrote the coding for the Chat Room get it updated, there is little we can do.

Also, Jester, I was looking at that pager program the other day, pretty clever and I'm working on fixing the bugs you were running into. I'll keep you posted.

O.K. So, We will see if Support Rat is behind us on this or not.
I realize this site depends on the influance of the community.

I wish applying pressure to me was all it would take, but I'm at the mercy of the people that own and created the program/software to update it.

Don't fret though, I've been hounding them as well. :cheers
